SRIJAN

Fuel Her Ambition, Spark Transformation

Women entrepreneurs face various barriers while pursuing economic opportunities. These barriers can be attributed to the gender gap in labour trends, a nation-wide digital divide, gender biases, and the inability to complete primary and secondary education which results in professional incompetence. Accessing finance for their business pursuits poses the biggest challenge to women, due to their limited ownership of property posing a lack of collateral, discriminatory lending practices, and lack of preparedness to avail formal credit.

The Srijan Program aims to bridge this gap in financing to facilitate a wave of credit-worthy, independent businesswomen. For this very purpose, we have leveraged an innovative financial instrument called a Returnable Grant.
